You don't need another store. You need a guide.

Walk into any furniture showroom and you'll leave with ideas and no plan. Scroll Pinterest for an hour and you'll leave with inspiration and more confusion. The problem with whole-home design isn't a lack of options — it's that there are too many, and nothing tells you which ones go together in your actual house.

An interior designer isn't someone who picks pretty things. An interior designer is someone who walks your rooms, listens to how you live, and makes a thousand decisions on your behalf so that the things you see, touch, and sit on every day all belong together.

Jacqueline has been doing exactly that for MetroWest families out of the Boxborough showroom since Spiral opened. Kitchens and bathrooms are where we started — but full interior design is where our clients keep coming back.

You can buy a new sofa. You can't buy a home that finally feels like yours. That's what design is for. — Jacqueline, Spiral Interior Spaces

The Styles We Design In

We don't push one aesthetic. Your home should feel like you, not like the designer's Instagram. Here are the directions Spiral clients most often go — mix, match, or land squarely in one.

Modern contemporary interior design — open layout, sculptural lighting, neutral palette

Modern Contemporary

Clean lines, sculptural furniture, neutrals with one bold accent. Luxe without feeling cold.

Warm traditional living room with sage walls and built-in shelving

Warm Traditional

Layered neutrals, natural materials, heritage details. MetroWest's favorite — timeless and lived-in.

Transitional interior design blending modern and traditional elements

Transitional

Shaker millwork, marble, brushed brass, quiet color. Neither too modern nor too stuffy.

Eclectic interior design with bold color and layered textures

Bold & Eclectic

Saturated color, mixed eras, personal collections. For clients who want their home to tell a story.

Common Questions

Do I have to use your furniture sources?

No. Clients often bring pieces they love and want to keep. We build the design around them. That said, our trade accounts get you pricing on items you can't buy at retail — many clients save more on sourcing than they spend on the design fee.

How long does a whole-home project take?

Typical range: 4–9 months from kickoff to final styling, depending on the scope and whether there's construction involved. Single-room refreshes are 6–12 weeks. Consultations are one visit plus a week for the written follow-up.

Do you work with my contractor, or do you have your own?

Either works. We have a small circle of MetroWest tradespeople we trust and bring in when needed — but if you already have a builder or GC, we collaborate with them directly. Jacqueline runs point on design decisions so you don't have to translate between parties.

I'm just moving in. When should I call?

Sooner than you think. The best time to start interior design is before you buy a single piece of furniture for the new house. If you've already moved in and made purchases, don't worry — we'll work with what you have. But a call before move-in is ideal.

What if I only want help with one room?

Totally fine. Most clients start with the living room or primary bedroom and expand from there. No pressure to do the whole house.

Can you just tell me paint colors and I'll do the rest?

Absolutely. A short design consultation is perfect for that — a walk-through with Jacqueline, written recommendations, you take it from there.
